Inspiration, Colours & Theme
The logo was created by another designer (Kendrick Tu) first. I used this to guide the color choices and ran with the secret mission theme as further inspiration to guide both layout and theme: a mix of mysterious, fun, techy and professional.
The Hero ‘Image’
Running with the secret mission theme, the Hero Space lets the user explore a secret document in a darkened room using their mouse cursor as a flashlight.
The ‘shrink ray plans’ are a fun sci-fi reference as well as a literal translation of the company’s goal to put a human element back into technology.
Site Dissection - UX & UI
Nav
A single page includes the key content about why vistors should hire this agency. To encourage viewers to scroll through and read the content in order, navigation is hidden behind the hamburger.
Introduction & Clients
A concise about page and client logos establishes confidence & trust, quickly moving on to the most important content: previous work.
The Work
This agent’s focus is on development. I created a simple layout that suggests the underlying architecture is the important part. The devices are part of the css, so new project screenshots and descriptions can be easily added.
Services
Site layouts often place services higher on the page. However, I think the work itself can convey much of this information anyway. Hence, I placed it afterwards as secondary clarification instead.
Contact Form
The contact form is part of the footer on every page - acting as the call to action after the information. It is as simple as possible, with a little fun in the theming.
